Green Roots Agro SL was founded in 2022 by Zuzana and Imran with the mission of creating a sustainable business primarily focused on the processing and export of cashew nuts.

The ethos of the business was to focus on a geographical area of Sierra Leone that is in need of employment and investment in order to harness its potential, we identified in 2022 the opportunity of establishing a cashew factory that would create jobs and have a positive impact on the local rural economy.

We are proud with our achievements so far being the first company to successfully export cashew nuts from Sierra Leone to the United Kingdom.

The path is long yet our ambitions remain high and we aspire to play a pivotal role in creating food products from Sierra Leone to the world, this can only be achieved by creating a cohesive working environment where everybody wins for the benefit of Sierra Leone and its people.
